Some of you may be familair with the brand of toys called MagNext . If you are not I suggest looking it up, they are kind of fun to play with even for adults like me. Maybe let your kids try them out. Well anyways around Christmas time I was searching for Magnext stuff and I came across a website. It’s called Magnext Virtual. It’s an online Magnext themed game. At first I thought it was going to be very brief, repetitive and simple. However when I signed up and made an account I was surprised to see there was much to do. After you make an account and log in your avatar will be a little magnext ball. You can visit the shop and buy a paintjob to change your color, or designs on your Magnext ball. You can also buy accessories and things called Gears i’m not sure what they are for as I am still level one.

Yes you gain levels in this game, you can also chat with other users and challenge them. You move around by clicking on the buildings, clicking on one in the distance will take you to that buildings area. There’s currently three mini games you can play, a shop, a showcase and gallery, and a player arena. The mini games are really fun, normally these kind of games aren’t my cup of tea, I am more of a first person shooter type of person, but my girlfriends son or little cousins will love this. However I like to play games that help build reflex, and all the mini games here work on that. The rollercoaster game has you pick a broken track to put on the coaster track before your ball falls off. The speed game is like a race car, there’s a screen shot below but for some reason the car didn’t show up. You start off with a boost that you get by hitting space, its good to get a fast start off, then you get 3 boosts, you can also run over yellow arrows to speed up, but look out for blue arrows facing the opposite direction as well as walls that will slow you down.

The arena you can challenge other players, basically you just hit keys to chain them together faster than the other person, this can help your keystroke speed, as well as reflex. At the end of every minigame you get a score, and experience and money that you can use to buy things in the shop. You can chat with other users, add them to your friends list or even challenge them outside the arena.

If you have any young ones, or are just courious yourself I suggest you head on to the link at the top and give this a try.

I got a PSP for Christmas, it’s really cool. When it first came out I heard a lot of negativity but that was just from my Sony hating friend. Now that I have one I really like it, the games are really vibrant, the screen is wide and big and very pretty. The first and only game I’ve been playing on it is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Graphically it’s really nice, the cutscenes look just like something off the PS2, the music and everything really takes you back to FFVII days. I hope they do a remake for PS3 or something ):

I like DS but PSP is graphically superior, my aunt is probably going to get me some movies for it. Might seem useless but if i’m traveling at least i’ll have something to do (:

!!Spoilers below!!

The questing in Outlands on Warcraft is pretty impressive, I like the vehicle quests and stuff, using a huge elite dragon that does 40k dmg to kill other dragons is pretty fun. I finished up a long quest chain, that’s my only complain is the number of group quests and the small amount of people on alliance willing to help. I guess that depends on server though. Anyways I finished up this quest chain, and like my screen went black for a second, I thought I crashed, but a cinematic started up! Yep check this out!

So after the cinematic you go back to controlling your character, there’s alliance and horde bodies burning everywhere, you talk to the queen of the dragons and she sends you back to your faction leader. The forsaken in that movie was Putress, head of the royal apocethery society in the undercity. He planned the attack without Sylvanas’s knowledge, the quest once you get back to your faction leader leads to an assault on the undercity, if you are alliance you will fight and kill putress, if you are horde you will go to the throne room and with kill Varimathras(whatever his name is, the big elite demon that stands near sylvanas). It’s easy to complete as you get a buff making you impossible to kill and do a lot of dmg. I did it on alliance and the king tried to attack thrall after it was over but Jaina Proudmoore teleported us back to stormwind.  You get a pair of decent blue pants for doing this chain, it was pretty cool (:
